Parmarth Niketan (Rishikesh, India) was established in 1942 and officially registered as the Swami Shukdevanand Trust after the Founder of Parmarth Niketan, Pujya MM Swami Shukdevanand Saraswatiji, in 1962 as a Charitable Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, with 12A and 80G.
Parmarth Niketan literally means an abode dedicated to the welfare of all. For over eight decades, Parmarth has uplifted and inspired seekers and devotees from around the world through its numerous charitable programmes in the fields of healthcare, education, women and youth empowerment, environmental preservation, river rejuvenation and wide-spread humanitarianism, as well as through its many spiritual programmes. It has also hosted hundreds of medical camps that have touched countless lives.
Mahavir Seva Sadan (MSS) (Kolkata, India) is an NGO established in the year 1985, with the sole objective of providing limbs, calipers, etc., irrespective of caste, creed, religion or gender.
MSS has their own modern workshop equipped with the latest machines and instruments to manufacture these prosthetics. For the past 38 years, MSS has organized over 300 camps and more than 4,00,000 people have been served free of cost, making it one of the most impactful prosthetics organizations in India.
